Update 3.4.34 not uploading properly
I tried it four times...no luck. I pasted the zip file directly in applications and tried it from there and got the same message. Any suggestions?
I'm on a macbook pro OS X.
Try downloading it directly from the web site:
InteractBuilder
It should download a 31MB file.

Size, resolution and PPI
What size (pixels) and PPI my images should be for full background?
iPad 4 for example has retina display:
- 2048-by-1536 resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi)
Mostly asking for the PPI, should it be 72 or can it be higher?
"You can change the size of your app in the app properties (the blue cube on the top panel of Design Mode), and selecting iPad 4 should get rid of the error. We usually recommend using the lower resolution of 72 ppi and building for the 1024x768 size if the app will be for the iPad (this is the default size when you open InteractBuilder) because images at 72 ppi look very crisp, and higher resolutions will only make the file size a lot larger, which can always make an app take longer to download."
Keep in mind if you do decide to use the higher resolution setup which you can do following the directions above, when the app is published for non retina iPad's it will still work well because we will proportionally resize all the graphics to fit the non retina screens.
So it's completely up to you what resolution/PPI to use. It's a balance between keeping things as small as possible for the user but also making sure that you are not sacrificing any quality. At the end of the day, the InteractBuilder provides you the options to develop however you prefer. We are all about choices!
Here is a photo showing where you can change the size of the app:
Drag bar suggestion
If you have a mouse wheel, or track pad, or touch pad you can easily scroll using any of these techniques. A wider scroll bar is not something we are going to add.
Navigation Buttons
When I want to activate my Navogation Buttons this situation accurs. After I say "Yes" to "Show App Navogation images and "Disable" both "Page Flip" in the page "Features" section and verify in "Interact" . I see my "Navigation Buitons" but they operate in reverse. The button on the right to "Flip Forward" goes backward and vice versa.
Hi Serge, make sure you didn't set the images for the Next and Back buttons , vice-versa.
New builder moving elements! Windows PC version
Updated to the new builder on 8th October. I am getting various elements in the wrong positions, when I look at the info positioning in the window, the co-ordinates are correct, but it keeps jumping back to the wrong position on the page no matter how many times I change this!
Last working builder was 3.25.
This was fixed in the latest IB3 version. Let us know if you still encounter this problem.
Draw bug
When using the Draw Free or Draw Line option on one element, it draws a line over the second background black "outline" element as well. I followed your suggestion in previous feedback about this bug but the problem persists. See screenshot below. These are two elements the white one is sitting on top of the black outline. The action assigned to the white element is Drag > Draw Free > Line width: 15. Perhaps there is a way to make the software only color onto the layer that the target element resides on.
Also, my expectation is that the transparent area of the imported element should NOT be able to be colored over, ideally only the image area should be colored over if possible. Kids may be frustrated if they can't see the outline of what they are trying to color. Fill color works ok, but I'd prefer to allow them to have the experience of "coloring" an object.
Thanks in advance for looking into a solution.
I'm not sure I'm totally following but DrawFree and DrawLine are meant to draw anywhere on the canvas within the constraints specified. So this is by design and not a bug. It basically mimics a coloring book, kids have to stay within the lines. FillColor can be used instead, but DrawFree is meant to behave exactly like that.
About Share of App in IB4.0
So how do we test the App in iPad?
published in the major stores
but why do not publish Google Play ,Windows Media,Amazon Marketplace ?
People are waiting for 9 months? That's impossible !!!!
you are stopped working?
alex
We have not stopped working, and we are hoping to be able to publish apps soon. I really apologize. I'm personally not on the technical side, but I use InteractBuilder to create apps for InteractStudios, so I don't have a more detailed answer.
