How will I know if my app works correctly?

Hi

The latest issues with the builder and player in windows has me concerned!  I get very different results when I play my app in windows player, and then on my iPad in iOS. How will I know if my app is working correctly?  Which player is playing my app correctly?  And how will I know when I upload my app for "Publishing" to iOS, that it will be working as I want, if I cannot get the same results in testing in player before?

If the results are not consistant across all players, then I will not be able to know how to fix anything.  My main concern is my final file that will go up on iTunes.  Will I be sent a working iOS file that I can test on my iPad, not for the player, but as a stand alone iOS app file?

Thanks
Clint

Hi Clint, we are trying will all the community members to make InteractBuilder and InteractPlayer as good and smooth as possible. Regarding your concern your app will look the same in all the InteractPlayer versions. And for the last question: I think you will be able to either Publish you app as a standalone or as an app that opens in InteractPlayer.

Thanks Alin, I do appreciate all the hard work you guys are doing, and I am sure it's not easy to cover both platforms to work the same.

The way things stand at the moment, is that my app actually works pretty much the way I want it too when I check it on my iPad in the player 3.3, but it runs too slowly, as we discussed earlier.  And I know you guys were working on that. So I am hoping a new iPad player 3.4 will make a difference in the speed.

I really do want to stay with you guys for building my apps, I don't want to have to go and use another software and have to start all over again learning their program! Besides, I like what you have setup with our accounts to be able to have you upload to iTunes etc, because for me as a South African, I'm not able to have my own Apple developers account yet.

Can I ask you another question.  Are these issues only happening with the windows version?  Are the people using Mac's not having the same problems?  If that is the case, then maybe I mite have to invest in a Mac.
We are awaiting Apple's approval of version 3.4 which hopefully will be very soon. In the meantime which specific problems are you running into with your app? The app should run fine on Windows. Please let us know specifics.
Hi Ezra,

I am going to go through my app and write down the problems more specifically.  Should I post them in this topic, or post a new one?
Hi guys,  Ok, I have been through my app with the new Builder and Players.  This is what I have found a bit buggy.  I hope you can make sense of what I typed out.  Maybe this will help with the builds.  I have managed to make some fixes of other issues myself by changing some of the behaviors.

BUILDER - INTERACT MODE

Page4
- drag is very slow

Page5
- looping background sound plays only once after tapping on the nose animation.

Page10
- page is unable to interact with. If I tap anywhere nothing happens. Until I click "Ctrl" on the
keyboard, then it reacts to the last click.
- the flamingo's sometimes animate, and sometimes don't. They should all flap their wings.

PLAYER

Page5
- looping background sound plays only once after tapping on the nose animation.

Page6
- When I tap on "Tamu" were he is standing with his stick, he animates correctly, then he should

fly off the screen to the right, but it freezes.

Page7
- Tapping on "Tamu" should start an animation of him setting up the tent, but no response.

Page10
- page is unable to interact with. If I tap anywhere nothing happens. Until I click "Ctrl" on the

keyboard, then it reacts to the last click.
- the flamingo's sometimes animate, and sometimes don't. They should all flap their wings.

Page12
- first tap on drums is slow to react, it is a swop action

IPAD PLAYER

Page4
- drag is even slower here. Sometimes doesn't respond

Page5
- looping background sound plays only once after tapping on the nose animation.

Page7
- Tapping the wood-fire should start flame animation and Arnolds face should be black, then it

should trigger both characters to stand over fire with marshmallows. The tap does not work.

Page10
- tapping on white flamingo's should make them hide. No hide happening
- the flamingo's sometimes animate, and sometimes don't. They should all flap their wings. Or the
animations are very slow.
