Sorry for the misspelled software. Anime Studios is what I meant to say. Maybe even a "download manager" won't work well either, as our speed is so slow. I'm thinking of taking my ipad2 (64 gb) into the library and try to download it there, bring it back - and could I then load it onto my main screen mac 10.6.8.? Thanks for comments here.

Leech is supposed to be a very simple but good download manager for the Mac:

Today I went to the library and downloaded Anime Studio (the 200 mb software) onto my flash drive, brought it home and it installed fine. Tomorrow, I go back to the library, as I'm allowed 3 hours computer time, and as I was trying to download the tutorials of 2 gb, it said it would take 2 hours and 45 minutes. So hopefully, I'll take along some sketching paper, and 'work' while waiting for this tutorial to download to the flash, and then hope it opens here on my home mac. Did leard that I could not download it to my ipad2, but the 'chat' boy said he had downloaded his to his iphone. He indicated that the ipad would not be able to open a zip or dmg files. Thanks for reading through this with me.

Thanks Ezra for the Leech name of a downloader. I'll still check it out.
